"Fostering Hope": Building Bridges through Healing Relationships
This workshop is an introduction to a series of work-groups, support groups and seminars designed to assist biological and fostering families who are engaged with the OKDHS foster care system. The 2-hour introduction overview will be filled with hands-on, fun and informative approaches to understanding the amazing opportunities available to grow and find healing through the family-to-family bridge of fostering. Fostering families can provide a safe space and the power of a positive relationship; while biological families can find the kindness and support they need to grow and regain vital family connections. Families do not have to feel "pulled apart" and "alone", as a community we can build bridges through healing relationships.

LSI Oasis Programs
Family Connections
This is a specialized program designed to help families increase positive family interactions. We partner with parents and children to development a "big picture" plan for overall improvement in family functioning. This program is great for families with children of all ages.
Also available in this program are regular workshops, family fun days and services focused on sibling interactions, family strengthening, conflict resolution, communication skill building, support and training for single parents and grandparents. As an additional support to grandparents raising second generation children, our Aging Gracefully Support Group and Parent Respite Groups are also offered (check for availability in your area).
Transformations
This is a specialized program designed for adolescent and adults. This program constitutes our main individually focused service. It provides an environment where adolescents/teens, and adult men/women are able to recover the confidence and skills necessary to lead a productive, satisfying life.
Available in this program are specialized time-limited groups, opportunities for workshops & seminar attendance and connections to various other resources. Adolescents participating in the Transformations program may also enjoy the additional support of our Bridges to Success Groups. Adult groups are designed and facilitated as requested (example: Women's support group, Smart Singles, etc.)
Bridges to Success
This specialized programming consist of a variety of groups designed for children, adolescent and teens. These groups focus on 4-Core components for personal development, coping / life skills and social responsibility:
- Bridge to Knowing Me - Discovering self: building character and self-esteem.
- Bridge to the Community - Discovering community impact: building leadership skills and understanding social entrepreneurship.
- Bridge to the Environment – Discovering environment impact: exploring nature and engaging in environmental projects.
- Bridge to the Future – Discovering personal mission: building skills for long-term goal setting, personal, educational and career exploration
